Powermonitor II
Setting the Pace for Quality in Power Monitoring
The Allen-Bradley Powermonitor II is a self-contained, high-performance power-quality meter. Ideal for major incoming feeders and major transformers, the Powermonitor II provides monitoring and power-control information. With the on-board microprocessor and advanced field-configurable communication options, you can use the Powermonitor II as a stand-alone power monitor and control device or as one element in a large energy monitoring network. In addition, the Powermonitor II offers many innovative functions including built-in real-time monitoring, archival, analysis, and control functions.
For ordering information, see the Power Monitoring area in the Rockwell Automation Industrial Controls Catalog.
Features
The Powermonitor II, which consists of a master module and an optional display module, has many sophisticated features essential for power quality and control such as oscillography, harmonic analysis, and communications.- High-Speed Oscillography — The Powermonitor II provides simultaneous capture of oscillograms as a result of its fast sampling rate (180 samples/cycle at 60Hz under all operating conditions). Simultaneous Multi-channel Oscillograph Recordings 1 capture of 7 channels x 67 cycles or 2 captures of 7channels x 33 cycles.
- Harmonic Analysis — The Powermonitor II measures percent distortion, magnitude and relative phase angles up to the 41st harmonic. It likewise performs harmonic calculations, such as TIF, %THD, K-factor, Crest factor and compliance check to IEEE-519.
- Communication — The Powermonitor II boasts plug-in communication cards that cover a broad variety of networks, including DF1 over RS-485 and RS-232, Remote I/O, DeviceNet and Ethernet. The Ethernet communication card also includes a built-in HTML web page for Internet read access of all critical power and energy data.
