1203-CN1 ControlNetT Communications Module

The 1203-CN1 ControlNetT Communications Module allows any SCANport-equipped member of the Allen-Bradley standard drives family to be connected to a ControlNet network.

• Universal connectivity - provides a ControlNet link to any SCANport-equipped product
• Drive products supporting Datalinks can be configured for up to 20 words of scheduled I/O (10 in each direction)
• Full support for unscheduled messaging
• Supports redundant coax media using standard BNC connectors (Also supports non-redundant configuration)
• Module firmware supports simple field upgrades using standard Windows terminal software
• No DIP switches - software-configurable
• Easy ControlNet node address configuration using rotary switches on front panel
• User-configurable response to individual network fault and controller idle conditions
• On-board RS-232 serial interface allows module configuration and network access by software such as DriveExplorerT and DriveTools32T (Requires 1203-SFC cable, purchased separately)
• Equipped with RJ-45 Network Access Port (NAP) for easy ControlNet access by tools such as 1784-PCC card
• Connects to drive product using standard SCANport (Bulletin 1202) cabling
• Mounts on DIN rail; powered by user-supplied 24VDC
