SLC Module

The SLC to SCANport communication module mounts in a slot on a Bulletin 1746 rack and provides an easily configurable, high-speed interface between any SLC 500T family processor and up to three SCANport enabled devices.

Features

• Connect up to three SCANport devices to a single SLC module
• Can use multiple SM1s in an SLC rack, limited only by the I/O size of the SLC CPU
• Provides both device control and configuration options
  • Basic mode: 4 words of I/O per device (2 in/2 out)
    • Inputs to SLC: Logic Command and Speed Reference
    • Outputs from SLC: Logic Status and Speed Feedback
  • Enhanced mode: Basic mode plus Datalinks (8 in/8 out), Messaging and Safe State Data
• Tri-color LEDs for status information
