Drives
An
optional Profibus communication module for the 160 SSCT, that provides
a low cost solution for control and monitoring of the 160 SSCT drive.
The Profibus module attaches directly to the front of the drive
in place of the Program Keypad Module or Ready/Fault Panel adding
less than 25mm to the overall depth. Using the Profibus communication
module, reduces the installation time, and provides feedback of
the drive operating conditions.
Communication Flexibility with the 160-PD1
- The 160-PD1
interface allows a 160 SSCT series C drive, to be connected onto
a ProfiBus-DP network. A variety of different network masters
can be used, and is integrated within Profibus-DP utilising a
GSD file.
- Profibus-DP
9-pin female D-shell connector for interconnecting onto ProfiBus-DP
network.
- Protective Earth
connection for the 160-PD1 interface.
- Compact design
in the familiar 160 SSCT communication interface format, allows
quick installation directly to the front of 160 SSCT. This economises
valuable panel space.
- Quick setup
utilises rotary switches for ProfiBus node address 0-99, with
communication speed set by the controlling master with autobaud
capability from 9.6Kb to 12Mb.
- Visual indication
via LED's for Ready, Fault and Communications OK.
- Using standard
Profibus drive profile (PROFIDRIVE) for control of the drive,
will make it easy to integrate into existing Profibus-DP networks.
- The ability
to Start/Stop and control the speed in both directions.
- The drive
can also pass information using an explicit telegram. This slower
method of communication, can be used to get/set parameters for
changing the dynamic performance of the drive, or just monitoring
parameters.
