Drives
The Modbus/TCP adapter can provide you with a direct Modbus/TCP interface for PowerFlex® 70 (SC or EC), 700 (SC or VC), 700H, 700S, and 7000 drives. It can also be used with other Allen-Bradley® products that support a DPI adapter, such as the DPI External Communications Kit (20-XCOMM-DC-BASE) which enables the adapter to be mounted externally from the drive or DPI-Host device.
The 20-COMM-M adapter, like the 20-COMM-E EtherNet/IP adapter, uses a standard Ethernet cable and has similar functionality. The Modbus/TCP adapter also uses Function Codes to view logic status, feedback and parameter values, send logic control, reference, and change parameter values.
