Drives
The 22-SCM-232 Serial to DSI converter module provides a serial RS-232 connection to a DSI-enabled device, such as PowerFlex 4 and 40 drives. Transportable and powered via the DSI connection on the drive, the SCM is the ideal tool for DriveExplorer and DriveExecutive software packages.
The v2.xxx release of firmware expands the SCM features to include its use with Rockwell Automation controllers to control and access PowerFlex 4 and 40 drives using the controller's built-in RS232 ports. Applicable controllers include MicroLogix 1000 / 1200 / 1500, SLC 5/03, 5/04, 5/05, CompactLogix, ControlLogix and any other device capable of initiating and receiving DF1 messages. Configurations include point-to-point and multi-drop.
