PowerFlex® BACnet MS/TP Adapter

22-COMM-B

The 22-COMM-B BACnet MS/TP adapter provides a direct BACnet MS/TP interface for PowerFlex 4 (when used with a DSI External Communications Kit), 40 and 400 drives.  This adapter implements a 2-wire RS-485 design of BACnet called MS/TP (Master-Slave / Token-Passing) which uses baud rates of 9600, 19200, 38400, or 76800 bps and supports node addresses up to 127.

Different than most drive communication adapters, a BACnet MS/TP adapter uses network objects to view logic status, feedback and monitor parameter values and to send logic control, reference and change parameter values.  However, functionality such as communication loss actions, diagnostic items, safe-state data and flash upgradeability are still supported.

  • Addressable up to node 127
  • Simple, out-of-the-box setup makes configuration quick and easy
  • Autobauds or communicates at a set baud rate (9600, 19200, 38400 or 76800 bps)
  • Compatible with Allen-Bradley® configuration tools, including PowerFlex DSI HIMs (22-HIM-**), DriveExplorer™ (v3.01 or higher) and DriveExecutive™ (v3.01 or higher)
  • Supports "DSI Routing" for access through a single 1203-USB or 22-SCM-232 converter to multiple BACnet MS/TP networked drives using DriveExplorer software.
  • LED indicators report the status of drive communications, the adapter and network
  • Flash upgradeable - firmware can be updated anytime, anywhere
