Configured Drives

The Quick Turn program provides assembly and shipment of common catalog configurations with a significantly reduced lead time.

Through the Configured Drives Program, you can order specifically-configured drives packages that greatly expand on the options offered with a standard product. The starting place for any configured drive package is always the standard drive and any standard product options you desire; then, you can choose from the expanded configured options list that covers control, power, packaging and documentation.

The capabilities of a configured drive range from supplying simple, commonly requested pre-engineered options (line reactors, manual bypass) to the more complex, individually engineered requirements such as low harmonic compliance, PLC hardware and SMC bypass, to name a few.

Configured Drives are available for most standard Allen-Bradley® drive products. Configured drives are specified by constructing a standard configured catalog string number and adding any required control or power options. Proposal works is the best tool to use when creating your configuration. Along with all the rules for option selections, it is also loaded with detailed information on the features, size and layout of your configured drive selection.

Custom Drives

Sometimes the application or packaging needs can not be satisfied with a standard or configured drive solution. But, just because you don't see it in the catalog doesn't mean we can’t build it for you. The Custom and Configured Drives group has extensive experience in designing custom hardware for specific customer requirements.

Custom Hardware

Some examples are the less commonly requested NEMA types 3, 3R and 4X enclosures. How about a custom size, shape or color enclosure or console. Special cut-outs are not a problem and we can also mount customer supplied auxiliary hardware. If you know you will always want the same custom drive configuration— let us standardize it, and create a customer specific catalog number for you to make it easy to order and guarantee repeatability.

Low harmonic Allen-Bradley drive packages can be combined with almost all 1336 and PowerFlex 700 AC drive products to help provide a cost-effective, low harmonic solution.
