DriveGuard™ Safety Solutions

Introducing DriveGuard™, a new series of safety solutions for Allen-Bradley PowerFlex® AC drives.

As part of your overall machine safety architecture, DriveGuard provides cost effective, certified protection for AC drive control.

Safe-off, the first offering available within the DriveGuard series, prevents a drive from delivering rotational energy to motors, by integrating an optional safety board with the power switching signals. Along with a separate dedicated enable input on the base drive, this option provides a certified solution that meets EN954-1, category 3 (safe-off and protection against restart).

The Safe-off option board is supported on the PowerFlex® 70, which is a general purpose drive with excellent performance, supporting multiple communication networks, available through 50HP at 400 / 480 / 600V and 25HP at 200 / 240V. It is also available in NEMA 1, NEMA 4X, and Flange enclosure types.
