An ArmorBlock MaXum I/O block contains digital I/O circuits, a built-in power supply, and a built-in DeviceNet I/O adapter. I/O blocks are available in sizes of 2, 4, 8, and 16 I/O. The DeviceNet network supplies power to the inputs and attached sensors. Electronic fusing provides protection for output load devices and easy resetting.

ArmorBlock MaXum I/O blocks are designed for back-panel or on-machine mounting. Blocks can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Enclosure costs are eliminated because each block is packaged in a sealed housing rated for IP67 and NEMA 4X and 6P. I/O terminations are M12 DC micro quick-disconnect terminations.

ArmorBlock MaXum I/O blocks have a compact style with a low profile. ArmorBlock MaXum blocks are packaged in a sealed housing rated for IP67 and NEMA 4X and 6P. Each I/O block requires a separate base for connection to a DeviceNet trunk or drop cable, using either the KwikLink flat media system or standard round media.
