DeviceNet Safety Scanner
DeviceNet Safety Scanner
|
The 1753-DNSI scanner provides DeviceNet network access for GuardPLC 1600 and GuardPLC 1800 controllers. The scanner supports both CIP Standard and CIP Safety DeviceNet communication to DeviceNet safety I/O as well as to standard PLCs, standard I/O, and HMIs. The scanner reads and writes data from DeviceNet nodes and exchanges this data and status information with the GuardPLC controller. Using its target mode, the scanner can look like I/O to standard PLCs or HMIs, allowing the GuardPLC controller to send status and diagnostic data to the standard control system. Use RSNetWorx Software for DeviceNet to configure the DeviceNet Safety Scanner. See RSNetWorx for DeviceNet Software software for more information.
Benefits
- Supports both CIP Standard and CIP Safety communication on DeviceNet networks.
- Data sharing between up to 63 devices, 32 of which can be DeviceNet Safety I/O modules.
- Peer-to-peer communication between GuardPLC controllers and DeviceNet Safety devices.
- Configuration and monitoring over the DeviceNet network.
- DeviceNet Safety protocol has a higher priority so data is not influenced by standard DeviceNet communications.
- Certified by TÜV for use in applications to SIL 3 according to IEC 61508 and Category 4, PLe according to ISO 13849-1:2006
