Minimum spacing without legend plate: When units are mounted so that the contact block terminals face each other, the 2‑1/4 in. (57.2 mm) dimension must be used in order to get proper electrical clearance. When control units are mounted so that the contact block terminals do not face each other, the 1‑27/32 in. (46.8 mm) dimension can be used.
