Supplementary Protectors (1492-SP Series C)
The Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1492-SP is an energy limiting Supplementary Protector/Miniature Circuit Breaker. In case of short circuit or thermal overload, these devices are designed to protect equipment, systems and cables by a quick disconnection. They meet the requirements of UL 1077/CSA 22.2 No. 235 and are in conformity with IEC/EN 60 898.
When following appropriate standards, these devices protect energy loads such as controller I/O, solenoids, power supplies and control transformers from damaging power surges.

Energy Limiting Capability
These devices allow 10 to 20 times less “let-through” energy than conventional circuit breakers, resulting in less wire heating and minimizing damage to downstream components.
Space Saving Design
The size has been reduced to 3.125"" (80 mm), allowing less panel space requirement – auxiliary and signal contact only 9 mm wide.
Simplified Maintenance
The red/green flags and toggle position identify the localized fault so troubleshooting can be done quickly.
