MCS Star Configuration Software
The MCS Star configuration software provides a
user-friendly graphical interface to design electrical control systems
utilizing the Allen-Bradley Modular Control System (MCS). The software
runs on the Rockwell Automation Integrated Software Environment
(RAISE) platform and allows the user to configure Allen-Bradley
MCS Starters on the Bulletin 141A MCS Mounting System.
Functionality:
Version 4.0 of the MCS Star configuration software
is designed with global users in mind. It provides the capability
to design electrical control systems according to either IEC or
UL/CSA requirements including:
- Motor starter selection for motors rated in Hp or
kW
- Support for global motor voltages and control voltages
- Relevant IEC coordination types and UL/CSA starter
approvals
- Units in Metric or English
- Report formats to assemble the entire bill-of-material
into a structured order format
- Exports the design into many CAD packages through
a DXF output format
- Allows the user to view/print IEC or UL/ANSI wiring
diagrams for each starter
- Allows the user to view/print dimension drawings
for each starter
