Overload Relays
193-EF IEC Solid State – 20…860 A

Easy Setup
DIP switch adjustments allow for precise device
configuration. The Full Load Current setting is adjustable in
one ampere increments. Trip Class selection is adjustable in
increments of 2 with an adjustment range of 2…30,
allowing optimal utilization for a wide variety of motor and
application types (submersible pumps, hermetically sealed
refrigeration compressors, rock crushers).
Useful Diagnostics
Up to four LEDs provide device status indication in
addition to trip identification, allowing maintenance personnel to
react quickly in order to minimize production downtime.
- Green LED that indicates the device is powered and operational
- Red LED that identifies an overload trip with steady illumination and flashes when motor current exceeds 110% of the set FLA
- Red LED that identifies a phase loss or current imbalance trip condition
- Red LED with the 193-EF2 product that indicates a thermistor overtemperature trip
Enhanced Protection
Phase Loss and Current Imbalance Detection – In
the event of phase loss, the 193-EF overload relay trips immediately,
independent of motor load, and protects the motor from
hazardous motor temperature rise. The 193-EF overload
relay is sensitive to current imbalance at a level of 40% or
greater with a 1.5 second trip delay on start-up and a three
second trip delay during normal run.
Thermistor Monitoring –
The 193-EF2 overload relay
provides additional circuitry for monitoring motor
winding-embedded thermistors. This allows the device to
detect motor overheating in cases where it cannot be
detected by monitoring current alone (blocked ventilation
and high ambient temperature). The circuitry also monitors
for open and short-circuit sensor leads
Convenient Options
For added application flexibility, the 193-EF overload
relays offer the following options:
- Automatic reset
- Remote reset module
- External indication module (193-EF2 only)
