Rockwell Automation expands its vacuum product offering with a new line of Open Type Vacuum Starters. The vacuum starters are designed for use up to 1500V maximum for starting and controlling three-phase, 50/60 Hz, AC motors. They are well suited in the areas of mining, pumping, and other harsh applications where voltages above 600V AC are used.

The key feature of the vacuum starter is the vacuum bottle where the contacts are sealed from the contaminants of the external environment.

The vacuum starters are available with the time-proven eutectic or the low maintenance high versatility electronic, E1 Plus overload relay with current transformers.
