Bulletin 900BuilderLite™ Software Version 1.1
Bulletin 900 — 900BuilderLite™ Version 1.1 is FREE Personal Computer (PC) Configuration Software for Series A Bulletin 900-TC8 and 900-TC16 Temperature/Process Controllers.
- Provides a tabular fill-in-the-blanks on-line configuration option to using the 900-TC8 or 900-TC16 controller's keypad and LED display
- Simplifies controller configuration
- Ability to save parameters to PC storage devices and retrieve as required
- Configuration can be done via direct or RS485 networked connection
- Parameters can be saved as a .CSV format for use by Excel
- Note: Version 1.2 software cannot be used with Series A controllers
Minimum Computer Hardware Requirements
- 300 MHz CPU
- 650 MB free disk space
- SVGA resolution monitor (XGA recommended)
- Microsoft Windows supported mouse
- Available serial 9-pin COM port (COM address 1 to 8) for connection to RS-232 option unit of 900-TC8 or RS-232 to RS-285 converter (Bulletin -CONVxx) for network connection to 31 Bulletin 900-TC8 and/or 900-TC16 controllers
- Available USB port for a direct connection to the 4-pin serial port of a Bulletin 900-TC8 or 900-TC16 using the 900-CPOEM1 to serial communication cable.
Computer Operating System Requirements
The following systems can be used with 900BuilderLite Version 1.1 software.
- Microsoft Windows 2000/XP
Preset Communication format should be as follows:
- 9600 Baud Rate
- 7 Bit Communications Data
- 2 Stop bits
- Even parity
It is important to set the Com Port of your computer correctly and also the Unit No of the Temperature Controller correctly or you will not be able to communicate between the computer and the Temperature Controller.
The 900BuilderLite software will produce an orange highlighted block at the bottom of the window with the following format once connection is made:
Example: COM5 9600 7 2 EVEN UnitNo 1 900-TC8ACGTZ25A
If there is no communications, there will be no highlighted block and the catalog number will not be present.
Directions for installing 900Builder Lite on your PC
- Copy the ZIP file below (900BuilderLite Rev 1.1.zip) to your PC's desktop
- From your desktop, open the ZIP file and double click on the file Setup.exe
- Follow the 900Builder Lite setup instructions.
NOTE: After installation is complete you can dispose of the ZIP file in your trash if you desire.
