SMC™-Flex Application Firmware Updates
The SMC-Flex products (150-F*) have firmware which is flash upgradeable. Once you have installed the ControlFLASH kit, you can use several different methods to flash the firmware.
If the product is on a network, the following tools can be used:
- ControlNet — DriveExecutive or ControlFLASH
- DeviceNet — DriveExecutive or ControlFLASH
- EtherNet/IP — DriveExplorer, DriveExecutive, or ControlFLASH
If your PC is directly connected to the SMC-Flex using a 1203-SSS or 1203-USB cable, you can use DriveExplorer, DriveExecutive, ControlFLASH or HyperTerminal. The 1203-SSS and 1203-USB ship with a copy of DriveExplorer. The latest version of DriveExplorer can be downloaded from www.ab.com/drives/driveexplorer/index.html.
