SMC™ Application Wizard & eTools

The following SMC™ eTools are intended to provide estimation as to the applicability of the SMC™-3 and SMC™-Flex products to a given set of operating requirements. The results of this tool are intended to be used as reference only.

Please feel free to download any of the eTools below, however keep in mind that the HTML versions of these tools are also incorporated into the latest version of RAISE Product Selection and Engineering Tools.

HTML Based eTools

SCPD [311KB ZIP] — Use this HTML based tool for guidance on selecting the proper short circuit protection device for a given motor.
Unzip the file to local drive and double click the scpd_csv.html file.
ThermApp [116KB ZIP] — Use this HTML based tool for simple thermal analysis and selection of an SMC™ product for a given application.
Unzip the file to local drive and double click the thermalApp.html file.
EstimatorApp [137KB ZIP] — Use this HTML based tool for a more advanced analysis of both the device and the system (i.e. type of load, motor).
To produce charts with this version of the tool you must be connected to the internet. Unzip the file to local drive and double click the estimatorApp.html file.

JAVA Based eTool

SMC Application Wizard 1.4.3 [2.73Mb ZIP] — Use this tool for stand alone ability to create simple and advanced system analysis.
To run this application double click the .jar file. If this application fails to run, you may not have the most current version of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). This application requires a minimum JRE version of 1.6.0 to run. Download the latest version of the JRE at www.java.com.
