CENTERLINE 2500 MCC with IntelliCENTER Technology
Built-In-DeviceNet
Your IntelliCENTER MCC is equipped with a built in network. This network has been properly designed and rigorously tested to ODVA specifications to help assure reliable communications. A built in network provides:
- Faster installation time compared to hardwired I/O. Instead of routing and connecting hundreds of individual control wires, one network cable connects all devices. Troubleshooting crossed wires and loose connections become a thing of the past.
- Reduced possibility of damage to network wiring when pulling motor wires or servicing equipment. More than 90% of the network cabling is located behind the MCC barriers.
- Richer data is available from intelligent motor controls. A network can just as easily transmit analog as digital (I/O) data. There is no need to install and calibrate separate media for analog signals.
The DeviceNet cabling is built into your MCC and routed behind permanent MCC walls and barriers to prevent accidental damage during installation. Each CENTERLINE MCC with IntelliCENTER technology section features built-in DeviceNet ports, allowing for easier installation, relocation, and adding of new units — all without having to interrupt the operation of adjacent units.
