MCC Software
What's New in IntelliCENTER Software
Reset Fault button added to Monitor View (Version 2.0.3 SP3)
A button has been added to the Monitor View to easily reset faults for supported devices. This feature must be enabled by the Administrator via the Preferences.New Product Support for PowerFlex 700S and IntelliVAC Plus (Version 2.0.3 SP3)
IntelliCENTER now supports the PowerFlex 700S drive and IntelliVAC Plus module.Blinking red light for faulted lineups (Version 2.0.3 SP3)
The status bar at the bottom of IntelliCENTER Software will now show a blinking red light for a lineup which is faulted.New "Test Position" State (Newest Version 2.0.3 SP2)
A new device state named "Test Position" has been added to IntelliCENTER. This state can be associated with a device's I/O to determine when the unit is in testing position. This new state has been defined for CENTERLINE 1500 Medium Voltage MCCs, but does not exist for CENTERLINE 2100 Low Voltage MCCs.-
Selection of State Colors Expanded (Version 2.0.3 SP2)
In the past IntelliCENTER users were limited to 7 colors to select from to associate their states with. IntelliCENTER has now been changed to select colors from a color wheel. Therefore, users can select from a much wider variety of colors for their states. Double-Click on Bottom Status Bar (Version 2.0.3 SP2)
To view an Elevation View for a lineup, the user can now double click on the associated status panel for the lineup on the bottom status bar. The associated elevation view will then automatically be shown.New Product Support for E1+ (Version 2.0.3 SP1)
IntelliCENTER now supports the E1+ with DeviceNet.New Elevation View (Version 2.0.3)
IntelliCENTER has a new version of the Elevation View. The features of this new elevation view are:- Drag and drop moving of units and sections
- Icons show the type of DeviceNet product in each unit
- Customizable device descriptions and location fields
- Add and delete units
- Copy and paste units or sections (offline only)
Enhanced Fault Logging (Version 2.0.3)
Faults and warnings are now logged with the specific code or description. Diagnostics and troubleshooting just got easier.New Product Support for E3 in Feeder Applications (Version 2.0.3)
IntelliCENTER software now supports E3's used in feeder applications. The description and parameters monitored have been tailored to this application.ActiveXs Support 3rd Party HMIs (Version 2.0.3)
Modifications have been made to the IntelliCENTER ActiveX controls to support 3rd party HMIs.New Product Support for PowerFlex family (Version 1.4.7 SP4)
IntelliCENTER now supports the PowerFlex 700H and PowerFlex 400 drives.New Product Support for 825P (Version 1.4.7 SP1)
IntelliCENTER now supports the 825P Modular Protection Device.Offline Mode (Version 1.4.7)
Now use IntelliCENTER software without being connected to a DeviceNet MCC. This can come in handy before the MCC is installed or when you need to work off-site.
While of course you won't see real time data, you can still:- View and edit the drawings, manuals, spare parts and event log
- Move and add units
- Edit units (nameplates, I/O labels, etc.)
Data CD Creation (Version 1.4.7)
After making changes to IntelliCENTER software in the field (moving units, adding units, changing documentation, etc.) users can now create their own "Data CD" to back-up the new configuration.New Product Support (Version 1.4.7)
IntelliCENTER now supports the PowerFlex 40 AC Drive, the SMC Flex controller, and the Entek XM-120 Vibration Module. The Entek capability allows users to view both the mechanical and electrical status of critical motors within IntelliCENTER software.Copy Existing Lineups (Version 1.4.7)
During start-up, MCC units are often moved within a line-up or between line-ups. IntelliCENTER software makes it easy to reflect these moves. However when lots of units are moved, the changes required within IntelliCENTER software can be a bit overwhelming. In some cases it might be easier to start with a "clean slate", i.e. an empty MCC. Accordingly, a new function has been created to allow copying existing MCC lineups, with or without MCC units.ActiveX Updates (Version 1.4.7)
The ActiveX object have been updated to Version 2.
NOTE: Applications created with Version 1 objects are not compatible with Version 2 objects. To use the new Version 2 objects, each Version 1 object needs to be deleted and replaced with the Version 2 object.IntelliCENTER Software with ActiveX Controls (Version 1.4.2)
Many users prefer an integrated HMI for monitoring and controlling automation machines and processes. To enable this integration, HMI software such as Rockwell Software RSView32 and RSViewSE support a Microsoft technology called ActiveXT. This technology allows users to drop ready-made solutions right into the software.
IntelliCENTER software now contains ActiveX controls, giving users the choice of running IntelliCENTER software as a standalone application, or as an ActiveX control within another software package, such as an HMI.
Advantages
- Reduced HMI development time
- Easy access within the HMI to
- New predictive failure information
- Component history
- MCC-related documentation (CAD drawings, user manuals, parts lists, etc.)
Applications
Generally HMI systems show only basic information about motor status, such as ON, OFF, or TRIPPED. Many of today's motor controls provide process and diagnostic data that is useful to prevent and minimize downtime, but the time and cost to retrieve and display this data have typically been prohibitive.
IntelliCENTER software with ActiveX controls allows users to easily view this powerful information — and even change parameter values in devices. The IntelliCENTER ActiveX control is simple to configure and requires no additional lines of code. Just drop it into an ActiveX container and you are ready to go.IntelliCENTER software contains four ActiveX controls:
- MCC Unit Monitor View
- MCC Elevation View
- MCC Spreadsheet View
- MCC Documentation View (CAD drawings, user manuals, spare parts lists, event log)
Sample IntelliCENTER Software Screens
- Elevation
- Monitor
The Monitor View displays real-time data about each unit such as amperes, time-to-trip, trip cause, ground fault amperes, and I/O status. Each screen comes pre-configured to show the parameters typically of greatest interest, but users can easily customize the parameters to be displayed. Trending graphs and analog dials are featured on the Monitor screen as well as I/O Data and Parameters.
- Spreadsheet
- Wiring Diagrams
- User Manuals
- Spare Parts
- Event Log
