Allen-Bradley medium voltage drives provide a single solution for all medium voltage speed control requirements. The PowerFlex 7000 Family of drives exceeds customer expectations by delivering superior reliability, safety, ease of use and lower total cost of ownership.
The PowerFlex 7000 Family represents the third generation of medium voltage drives at Rockwell Automation. They incorporate leading-edge technology, embedded communications, and significant commonality across multiple platforms, networks, operator interface programming and hardware. Advanced power semiconductor technology reduces component count to the lowest of any medium voltage drive available, translating to increased savings and reliability, less downtime and fewer spare parts.
Designed for end users, solution providers and OEMs, PowerFlex 7000 air-cooled and liquid-cooled drives meet applications ranging up to 34,000 horsepower (22.5MW). PowerFlex 7000 drives are general purpose, stand-alone medium voltage drives that control speed, torque, direction, starting and stopping of standard asynchronous or synchronous AC motors. They are global products that adhere to the most common standards from NEC, IEC, NEMA, UL, and CSA. They are available with the world's most common supply voltages at medium voltage from 2400-6600 volts. The PowerFlex 7000 is available in 3 different frame sizes:
- The PowerFlex 7000A 'A' Frame drives are available from up to 1250 hp (933kW). They complement the PowerFlex 7000 MV Drive product line by offering many of the same features and benefits in a small foot print.
- The PowerFlex 7000 'B' Frame drives are available available up to 20000 hp (16400kW) at the worlds most common supply voltages from 2400-6600 Volts.
- The PowerFlex 7000L Liquid Cooled 'C' Frame drives extend the power range of the PowerFlex family of drives up to 34000 hp (22.5MW). The PowerFlex 7000L offers many of the same benefits as the air-cooled PowerFlex 7000 MV Drive.
PowerFlex 7000 Drives are also available with a host of medium voltage input, output and bypass controllers.

The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 7000 Medium Voltage AC drive with Direct-to-Drive™ technology allows you to connect utility power direct to drive without an isolation transformer and connect a new or existing motor directly to the drive without extra motor filtering.
