DeviceNet™
Overview
Providing Users with the Ability to Distribute and Troubleshoot Simple Devices Throughout Their Architectures
The DeviceNet network is an open device level network that provides connections between simple industrial devices (such as sensors and actuators) and higher-level devices (such as programmable controllers and computers). Uses the proven Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) to provide the control, configure, and data collection capabilities for industrial devices. DeviceNet is a flexible network that works with devices from multiple vendors offering a wide variety of both Rockwell Automation and third party vendor products.
