All Rockwell Automation EtherNet/IP products have a built-in Web server which uses Web technology to provide various capabilities. We have continually extended these capabilities to provide the ability to access data tables, create custom Web pages, initiate phone or e-mail messages, and, most recently, with the Enhanced Web Server Module (EWEB) module, the ability to transmit information to a variety of software applications using XML data. Users can view control information from anywhere, any time from a standard Web browser — allowing greater accessibility and collaboration of information from the shop floor to the top floor.
