Available for large (ControlLogix) or midrange (CompactLogix) applications, all GuardLogix Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs) provide an integrated safety solution with unmatched design productivity

This design productivity helps reduce training costs while it, speeds programming, commissioning and time to market. As part of the Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture, GuardLogix Safety PACs offer integrated safety, discrete, motion, drive and process control, as well as seamless connectivity to plant-wide information systems, all in the same controller.

Like ControlLogix, you can use standard tasks with GuardLogix in SIL 1 and SIL 2 safety-related applications provided you follow the rules defined in the ControlLogix SIL 2 safety manual. You can also run SIL 3 safety in the Safety task of GuardLogix at the same time.
