Fixed SLC 5/02 Clutch/Brake Only Package

A SLC 5/02 processor-based Clutch/Brake Package is a bundle of hardware, software, and documentation that controls the basic clutch/brake mechanisms on mechanical stamping presses. This package requires no user programming.

The package uses two redundant SLC 5/02 processors with application software for self testing and verification to help meet the safety requirements of ANSI B11.1, OSHA 1910.217 and CAN/CSA Z142–M90 press safety regulations for mechanical stamping presses. Each SLC processor has the basic clutch/brake functionality as well as the basic diagnostics to interface to several display options making it an easy-to-use cost-effective solution for small presses.

Since you don’t need programmable controller experience; you can just wire and mount the equipment and add optional operator interfaces with preloaded software for diagnostics.

MMI options for a PanelView 550 Operator Terminal (catalog number 6556-SPV550) or DTAM Micro Operator Interface (catalog number 6556-SDTAM) must be ordered separately. These options include pre-programmed prompts and diagnostic messages and are used with 6556–SCBK2 or –SCBK2DC.

For other press functions such as programmable limit switch, automation control, brake monitoring, die monitoring, resolver based tonnage monitoring, consider using a third SLC processor (included with catalog number 6556-SPAKK). If you require resolvers, you can order a package containing a third processor (catalog number 6556-SPAK), a conventional SLC 5/03 package, or a complete, pre-engineered PressMaster system.
