Fiber Optic
Cables
Allen-Bradley
offers more than 400 types of standard and special purpose
glass and plastic fiber optic cables. Glass fibers are available
in stainless steel or PVC-covered sheathing and are typically
used in applications where a premium is placed on durability.
Economical pre-terminated or cut-to-length flexible plastic
cables are also available for less demanding environments.

Standard glass with PVC covering:

Custom glass:

The standard
length for a glass fiber optic cable is 3'. Cables as long
as 50' or shorter than 3' are available by custom order. Lead
time is generally 3 weeks. For a custom length fiber optic
cable, the catalog number is derived by converting the length
desired in feet into inches and adding this number onto the
end of a standard catalog number. This end number should always
begin with a 1 and be 4 digits long. For example, a 5' 99-32-1
cable will become 99-32-1060.
