Fiber Optic Cable Accessories

Designed for use with standard 2.2mm plastic fibers, Allen-Bradley field-installable fiber optic cable accessories add even more flexibility to any fiber optic sensor application. The focusing lenses provide more controlled beam patterns and longer sensing ranges, while the right-angle sensing tips enhance mounting flexibility. Couplers enable splicing of cables in the field for easier customisation or repair. Models for bifurcated and transmitted beam fiber styles are available.

The 60-2738 fiber optic range extender allows the sensing distance of any Series 9000 fiber optic sensor to be enhanced using a standard 43GR-TBB25SL or 43GR-TBB25ML fiber optic cable. This accessory is best suited for use with the ColorSight™ 9000 photoelectric sensor, where sensing distances of between 37.5mm (1.5in) and 112.5mm (4.5in) can be realised. While colour detection capability may be reduced at these increased ranges, it is still suitable for many applications.
