871P Weld-Slag Resistant VersaCube™ Inductive Proximity Sensors

It’s common knowledge that welding applications are among the toughest on proximity sensors. The latest addition to the popular Allen-Bradley 871P weld field immune VersaCube family of proximity sensors is specifically designed with harsh welding environments in mind. What sets these new models apart is the innovative weld slag resistant coating which prevents the adhesion and accumulation of weld splatter, as well as the associated problems—including physical damage or “burn-through” to the internal components. In addition, a convenient new mounting base makes the new VersaCube easier to install and maintain than competitive models. Featuring complementary normally open and normally closed outputs as well as equal sensing distance for all metals, the unshielded model also boasts a 35mm sensing distance—a full 10mm more than the industry standard!
