Fault Number: 02
Fault Display:
Auxiliary Fault
Fault Name:
Auxiliary Fault
Description:
The Auxiliary input interlock is open.
Corrective Action:
Check for a "true" connection on terminal 24 of TB3. TB3 is another name for the L4, L5, or L6 cards installed on the drive. They allow connections to terminals 19 through 30 (31-36 with the L#E option).

If you have an L4 card, make sure there is a closed connection, or solid wire connection, between teminals 24 and on a common (terminals 29, 25, or 21).

If you have an L5 card, make sure there is +24 volts DC applied to terminal 24 of TB3. The negative connection should be on a common (terminals 29, 25, or 21).

If you have an L6 card, make sure there is 120 volts AC applied to terminal 24 of TB3. The neutral connection should be on a common (terminals 29, 25, or 21).

A Frame drive with TB3 installed (TB3 on B frame and up are located horizontally at the bottom of the main control board:

Check the parameters TB3 Term ## Sel, or parameters 242-247 in the Digital I/O section. Make sure there are no other parameters set to "Aux Fault", or setting #12. Parameter 244 [TB3 Term 24 Sel] is set to "Aux Fault" by default. If any other parameters are set to "Aux Fault", then their terminals need to be set to a true state also. If your input mode is set to "Status", then the Terminals on TB3 are not taken into account. It is not necessary to have TB3 installed if you run primarily with input mode set to "status". If an Auxiliary Fault still appears when the input mode is set to "status", then the main control board should be replaced. Remember, the input mode does not change until the power is cycled on the drive, so if you are changing your input mode from any setting to "status", the change will not take effect until the drive power is cycled.

If you are certain of the jumpers and wiring, the first thing to replace in the drive will be the .TB3 / 'L' Card. If this board has been replaced and/or is known to work, then the Main Control Board will be the next thing to replace.
