Fault Number: 06
Fault Display:
Motor Stall Fault
Fault Name:
Motor Stall Fault
Description:
Current remained over 150% of [Rated Amps] for more than 4 seconds.
Corrective Action:
The drive has outputted 150% of motor amps parameter 38 for more than 4 seconds without the drive getting off of 0 hz. Check the motor load, check wiring, check drive size for undersizing, check parameter 38 for too low of a setting,

Disconnect motor from load, and try again. If still fault, need a current clamp on motor leads to check for current draw. If high current draw on all legs, replace motor. If low current draw on one leg rotate motor leads. U to V, V to W, W to U. Check current again. If low leg follows motor leads, replace motor. if low leg follows drive, replace drive or power modules, or base driver board.

Improper tuning can also cause a motor stall fault. If drive is in sensorless vector, uncouple motor and autotune. The drive can also be put into a full custom curve paramter 09, and parameter 48 can be adjusted for start boost. By varying start boost, see if the motor will start up.

Motor could also be running in the wrong direction. uncouple motor and check for proper direction.
