Fault Number: 50
Fault Display:
Poles Calc Fault
Fault Name:
Poles Calculation Fault
Description:
Generated if the calculated value of [Motor Poles] is less than 2 or greater than 32.

Corrective Action:
The amount of motor poles is calculated from [Motor NP Hertz] and [Motor NP RPM]. You will want to check the values put in parameter 177 (Motor NP RPM) and parameter 178 (Motor NP Hertz). The default value of parameter 177 is 1750, and the default of parameter 178 is 60 hz. Motor poles are calculated by taking motor nameplate hertz and multiplying by 120, then dividing by motor nameplate RPM. If the value comes up anywhere lower than 2, or greater than 32, the drive will give you a Poles Calc Fault.

To fix, change the values in parameter 177 (Motor NP RPM) and parameter 178 (Motor NP Hertz).
