Problem Description
The DriveLogix5730 has reduced battery life. - Functional Issue - An anomaly in a component will drain the battery on the DriveLogix5730 controller and greatly reduce the life of the battery.
Product Identification
Product affected by this Mandatory Product Service Advisory includes all Drive Logix5730 controllers produced before August 10, 2005.

Problem Correction
- The DriveLogix5730 controller has been corrected as of Aug 10 th, 2005 to assure proper functionality.
- The DriveLogix5730 main control board must be upgraded with corrected components.

Requested Customer Action
Each notified customer should take the following actions:
- Confirm that they have the affected products and identify quantity and part number.
- Immediately contact their local Rockwell Automation Sales and Support office to determine the appropriate course of action. Together, the local office and customer will determine the correction for their situation.
- Upon receiving the replacement cassette perform the following:
- Identify the installed options of the original cassette.
- Transfer these options to the replacement cassette.
