Industry Series Software

Last Revision - March 7, 1997

The INDUSTRY CONSULTANT is a software series consisting of technical information and interactive software programs covering many topics associated with AFDs, ac motors, distribution system considerations and grounding issues. One of the features is a program to determine if a critical length exists in the connection between the AFD and the ac motor. The program is called WAVE.EXE.

The program, WAVE.EXE (300K)and one supporting file (DBTTIP.VBX) are contained within a self extracting zipped file called WAVE_.EXE (400K). (See Note 1)

Note 1
This program requires VBRUN300.DLL in order to operate. You may have a copy of VBRUN300.DLL in your Windows System directory. If you do not, you can obtain a copy of VBRUN300.DLL by downloading a self extracting zipped file VBRUN300.EXE. After downloading, you can run VBRUN300.EXE. It is a self-extracting file which will extract and load VBRUN300.DLL into your C:\Windows\System directory.

If you chose to down load WAVE.EXE, you will have to run the file to extract the program. You will not be able to extract the program into the same directory where you down loaded the self extracting zipped file since the program filename is the same as the self extracting zipped file. You can select a directory of your choice when the self extracting zipped file is run.  The default directory is C:\DHQ. After you have extracted the programs, you can use the Program Manager to create a group and item icons. Instructions about how to use this program will be presented when you run the program. These programs requires Windows 3.1 or better. These programs were designed to operate with a screen resolution of 640 x 480. Higher resolutions may result in misaligned graphics and controls. The programs appear to operate properly with Windows 95.
