Flash upgrade kits for the 1336 Plus II have been released for sale. Firmware flashing can only be done when the drives firmware is already greater than 2.004. If your firmware is older than 2.004, the main control board will have to be replaced to allow flashable firmware upgrades. Both of the following part numbers will have to be ordered to allow a firmware flash to your drive. The flash module itself only needs to be ordered once.
1336F-FDM : This is the firmware flash module itself
1336F-FRN : This allow a download of the firmware files themselves.
To order these parts, please contact your local AB distributor. After ordering, you will receive an email with the password to download the firmware below. The download includes the flashing instructions, the firmware drive code, and a readme file.
