The fault indicator lights are to be used as an aid to determining the location and nature of a drive failure. A brief description is delineated below. For further detailed information on probable failure conditions, refer to the Troubleshooting Procedures located in the troubleshooting section.

Logic Assembly Fault Indication LEDS

  • "OFF" Condition Indicates Normal
  • "ON" Condition Indicates Fault

To view the Logic Assembly, the chassis hinged panel must be swung back. The fault indicator lights will then be visible on the logic board behind the plexiglass protective cover. A brief description of the fault indicator LEDs is given below. For further detailed information on probable failure conditions, refer to the Troubleshooting Procedures located in the troubleshooting section.

DS1

"BUS LOW": DC BUS UNDERVOLTAGE
An "ON" light indicates that the DC bus voltage was less than approximately 250V DC.

DS2 "O.V.": DC BUS OVERVOLTAGE
An "ON" light indicates that the DC bus voltage was greater than approximately 380V DC.
DS3 "O.C.": OUTPUT OVERCURRENT
An "ON" light indicates that the load current has exceeded 150% of the rated drive current.
DS4 "LINE OUT": LINE REMOVAL OR TRANSIENT
An "ON" light indicates that the input line voltage is momentarily removed, or that there is a negative, transient. The light does not stay on.
DS5 "PROT": PROTECTION
An "ON" light indicates that there was an overcurrent in one or more legs of the transistor inverter bridge. This is usually an indication of a failed power transistor module or of an external short circuit.

Control Assembly Fault Indicator LEDs

  • "OFF" Condition Indicates Normal
  • "ON" Condition Indicates Fault

  • DS1: No DC Bus Voltage
  • DS2: Relay 2CR Not Energized
  • DS3: Relay 3CR Not Energized

The fault indicators located on the Control Assembly are used as an aid to determine the location of a power fault. Sometimes, an "off" light indicates a fault elsewhere as well. A brief description is presented below. To view the Control Assembly, the chassis hinged panel must be swung back. The fault indicator lights will then be visible on the control board mounted in the upper right hand portion of the hinged panel. For further detailed information on probable failure conditions, refer to the Troubleshooting Procedures located in the troubleshooting section.
