Interconnection - Standard Input Connections
Input

An AC line disconnect switch may be required ahead of the Bulletin 1330 drive to satisfy local electrical codes.
For single phase operation on 1.5KVA (1HP) and 4KVA (3HP) units only, connect a jumper from terminal 1 to terminal 2, of inductor L1, as shown on the unit schematic drawing (in L1 assembly section of schematic).
Output

The AC motor should be connected directly to the drive (hard wired) without the use of a contactor or disconnect switch.
NOTE: If a contactor or disconnect must be used between the drive and the motor, it must be closed before the drive is started.
This procedure allows the motor to accelerate from 0 under constant V/Hz control. If the contacts were closed after the drive was up to speed, the instantaneous over-current trip would trip. The drive is not intended for line starting motors unless it is sized to handle the starting current.
