Fault Number : 15

Fault Display : Load Loss

Fault Name : Load Loss

Fault Type : None

Fault Description : Drive output torque current is below [Load Loss Level] for a time period greater than [Load Loss Time].

Corrective Action : This means the measured torque on the motor has dropped below a programmed level. This fault requires the work of two parameters together, parameter 187 [Load Loss Level] and parameter 188 [Load Loss Time]. Parameter 187 is programmed as a percentage of torque based on motor nameplate data. If the load on the motor drops below this programmed torque percentage, the drive will then look to parameter 188 [Load Loss Time] for how long the drive is allowed to run below the programmed Load Loss Level percentage. The time can be set from 0.1 seconds to 300 seconds. After that time elapses, and the load has not gone back over Load Loss Level percentage, the drive then trips on this fault.

Check the load on the motor. Make sure it is hooked up properly, and functioning as expected. A reduction in Load Loss Level percentage may be required. An extension in time may also be required in Load Loss Time to give the motor load more time to pick back up.

This fault is only available in the Powerflex 70 EC v2.
