The PowerFlex 700H Flash Update Tool must be used. This procedure does not use Control Flash to update its firmware. Anacanda support through the DPI is not available as of yet.
The PowerFlex Flash Upgrade Tool is used along with a straight serial cable with male-female connectors. Do not use a crossover cable (NULL Modem) cable.
The System Firmware, file RPF700HAV019.VCN must be flashed first.
The Application Firmware, file PF700H_V01_003_54.VCN is flashed after the System Firmware.
Connect the serial cable to the drive as shown below:
