GV3000 Drives

What is the cause of Fault F41, Drive fault ?

F41 is a spurious interrupt to the drive microprocessor.  Electrical noise toggled the interrupt line on the microbus and there was no device to acknowledge it.  The microprocessor then halts with a fatal fault.  This is very uncommon and is no problem for many GV3000 drives in use.

The probable cause of electrical noise is something unusual about the installation.  This may be due to transient voltages getting to the regulator board through reference, control or encoder wiring. that is not installed according to good recommended wiring practices some of which are pointed out in instruction manual D2-3360-4.  A recommendation would be to have a experienced service person review the situation.

Check all cable screening and routing to and from the drive.
